    V34 feedback

Why is realism such an important factor? The combat model of civ4 is extremely abstract and trying to argue for realism over gameplay is silly in my opinion. Making each increase in size give a +175% bonus just removes choice from the game since it becomes the only correct action since going...

Buildlist spam makes the game less interesting

What is the true value of c2c and why is it limited to larger maps? I don't really understand the rest of your text. Are you drunk? ;)

Buildlist spam makes the game less interesting

I play on small maps because it keeps turn times down and limits the amount of cities you have to manage. I find that empires start to become unmanageable in standard or larger maps simply due to the amount of cities needing constant attention.

    Proposed Properties

How will universities be once education is implemented? In real life universities probably provide more research than everything else combined, especially when it comes to basic research, and they spend more resources on research than education. I feel that it would be quite odd if they became...

    Caveman 2 Cosmos

Anyone else seeing problems with the world builder when it comes to forests and ice (the feature, not terrain)? When I place a forest with the world builder it often doesn't appear on the tile until I place another forest on another tile (which also doesn't appear). Ice just looks horrible with...

    C2C - Civics Discussion Thread

Could post-scarcity be named something else? I really can't see it being considered a civic, especially as labor. It is a state of being where everything is so abundant that wealth becomes a meaningless concept and economy of goods mostly ceases to exist. The Culture is a good example of a...

    C2C - ORION'S ARM / Encyclopedia Galactica Discussion

Orion's Arm is only hard-ish, not really hard science. They have improved from a few years back when they were about as hard as jello.

    Crime & Punishment

Yes, military units can be used to restore order during civil unrest but other than that I don't think they are capable of law enforcement. I don't think any country uses the military as regular law enforcement since they're really not capable of handling everyday crime.

    Tech Tree Discussion

Critical thinking should be an ancient era tech rather than renaissance. The philosophy has been around far longer. The enlightenment is an European event that could most likely be described by civic changes. Emancipation as an end to slavery is mostly a issue of US history. The end of slavery...

    C2C: Promotions

It's not really that realistic though. A hard fight might teach a bit more than an easy one but high casualties mean that much of the experience is lost and has to be replaced by green troops. I guess it could be explained by only the unit leader experience being counted so that troop casualties...

    C2C- Resources Discussion and Ideas

I wouldn't add any promotions due to having a certain dye. Yes, khaki was the first one used but it can be done with mud or dirt. Military camouflage is also a quite recent invention. Single neutral color from 1850 onwards to pattern camo by world war 2. After that no unit is going to fight...

    Crime & Punishment

Yeah, but that doesn't mean that it was effective in preventing crime back then. I'm not sure but I don't think that the death penalty has ever been all that common form of punishment. Currently only about 0.15% of the US prison population is on death row. More modern civics such as liberal...

    Existing Buildings Discussion

I don't think gunpowder units should get first strikes from martial arts. Close combat is something you do after firing for early units or as a last resort for more modern units.

    Crime & Punishment

I really hope that some of the crime prevention of the capital punishment is moved to other buildings. Crimes that can result in capital punishment are an extremely small part of overall crime, studies show it is no more effective as a deterrent than life in prison and it is extremely expensive...

Could the mt Everest wonder be named something that doesn't refer to a specific landmark that won't exist on random maps?
