this is the error message i get when trying to run Conquests. It comes up after opening the application and after the 'Sid Meiers ~ Civilisation ~ Conquests' logo comes up. The same message appears with patch v1.22full installed too. Running Vista OS. Civ III application works fine...

OMG I even got 7-zip as suggested in the help thread. That can see the mods I downloaded too, even pre 7-zip, but 'My Computer' doesn't have clue! Grrrr...

My understanding is that vista just slows everything down due to, in part, pretty graphics. I think theres a problem with the direct x install on vista (v10) being better than the one required/on Civ 4 (v9?). The latest patch sorted it tho. Before the patch vista didnt like it. I dont...

This is probably a school boy error but im flummoxed. Im using an evaluation version of winzip to extract scenarios. The zip prog tells me its extracted the files to the mod folder, which i manually select, and I can see them (2 in total Plus original scens) but when i try t load them in...
