I have this idea to choose wich world wonders I want to start with in my capital and try to play a deity game in a duel map against 4~7 AIs all in the same team.
Anyone knows if there is a mod to start with world wonders?
Thanks.
edit: sry for posting here. Can anyone move this to the...
Another great one guys. Thanks for the comments.
I have a question: When I manually set up a game, I know the map type and I play around it. The AIs do that too? (for example, if it's a pangea map I don't prioritize ship techs and I don't build ships unless I really need to).
Thanks Dan.
Just to add more info, playing on immortal or deity, what usually happens to me is that I can somehow hold the ground against that unexpected early aggression. But in order to do that, I deviated so much from the original plan that is just not fun anymore.
And when that peace...
One strategy issue for you guys discuss:
What to do when you discover that your agressive neighbor, lets say Greece, is sea locked in one side and locked by you, his only neighbor on other side?
In this scenario, you already commited 2 or 3 policies in Liberty, have two cities (one very new)...

About global warming, I never played Civ IV (only Civ II, back when Elvis was one of my ministers and decorating the throne room was a thing). But the way you guys talk about it, seems that the mechanic was broken.
Without knowing that, when I started playing Civ V, I...
Where is the flavor for healing?
Making units heal faster inside cities with a hospital would be too good?
If this is added in a patch maybe people would start building more hospitals, because right now is too expensive and not worth.

I started playing hard since BNW came out and to find the podcast I just googled "civilization v podcast". Listened, liked and downloaded more :)
By the way, I don't know if I am right or I like this game too much, but I think the episodes are too short :cool:
Hey guys, big fan of Polycast here.
I would like to listen you discuss why on earth there is nothing on Civ5 relating tourism to natural wonders. On real life people travel and pay to see these places so why not create a World Congress resolution, social policy bonus, tech bonus or something...
To make PIETY viable for a first tree:
- Leave the tree and requirements as it is;
OPENER: as it is + shrines give +1 culture;
ORGANIZED RELIGION: as it is + temples give +1 production;
MANDATE OF HEAVEN: as it is + +2 food in cities with a shrine;
THEOCRACY: as it is;
RELIGIOUS...
I play on Immortal and Deity difficulty.
Is there a optimal percentage of your citizens to be assigned as specialist?
Maybe I could be working engineer and/or merchant slots way before that, but I keep prioritizing growth and only work Guilds for culture and Science slots.
