    How do you make these cool mods? also i have an idea for a russian line of civs so for an example for the antiquity it could be Slavs , for exploration Rus/Kievan Rus and then for modern since russia already exists you can make the USSR so players have a choice of the tsardom of russia and the USSR for the modern age

    Hey! Just download one of my mods and look through the files - I find that the best way to get into it. There are also some excellent modding discords where people dig into it in greater detail.

    I saw your comment on my review. Are you saying you can't change the placeholder for unit models? For example, instead of the 3 civilians, can it be a normal warrior from base game? Also, if I play England, what placeholder does it show for its unique unit/buildings? I'd love to avoid immersion-breaking choices. Could I edit my own mod files to buff other bonuses and remove the unique unit? Thanks for your work!

    I hear you totally on the immersion breaking preference. I want to address it as soon as possible, but as far as I’m aware, that’s what we’re working with.

    Darn. I tried editing your mod (just for my own use) and can't figure out how to remove the units and buildings. I was going to just make whatever else bonuses I have better to compensate. Crazy that the devs don't let us choose a placeholder for the unit model but I guess they are trying to sell copies of the game and their DLCs.

    They will, it’s just not a trivial thing to do from their end. I think this is just one of their lower development priorities, which is fine. When it’s out, we’ll get proper models in and taken care of. For now, we’re working with the limited tools we have. It’s inconvenient, but oh well. We know it’s getting taken care of eventually. Same story with every other Civ game.

    I played England and when I was about to buy Spice Port and finish the Trade Company district the game crashed. I tried several times and the game crashed every time, 100% of reproducibility, a zip file attached.

    not sure 100% if its the England mod that's the cause (it could just be base game tbh), but i'm getting a consistent crash when trying to lock in legacies for modern age after playing England for exploration

    Will take a look. Thanks for the heads up. In the same parent directory as where you put mods, there’s a folder called Logs - could you send me a zip archive of those files? Will help me figure that out.

    Hey, would you mind if I used your Sumer mod as a template for my Anasazi mod? It would be my first mod so I would copy things pretty closely. Was thinking of replacing the bronze resource with turquoise. Also, I was curious if you plan to keep 3 unique buildings in the mod? and/or if you were planning on developing a great person for the mod? All the best!

    Go ahead! Keep in mind that with how unique resources work, it may not work with the Lapis Lazuli resource or bronze.

    Do you know if there is a way to use existing in-game assets for unique buildings at the moment? For example, would it be possible to represent one of your unique buildings visually with a brickyard or market? And no worries if you're not looking to answer Qs

    Without formal modding support I haven’t figured out how to use 3D assets - either original or from the game - in mods. I suspect this will have to wait until formal modding support is added. That said, I hope I’m wrong and someone tells me how to!
