Atlantis from AoM 2016-10-05

What if Atlantis did not sink...

This is the map of Atlantis from Age of Mythology. It increased somewhat in size, but that was necessary to make it playable. You can play as Arkantos (AoM) or standard civilizations, which are located at the appropriate locations. You start some turns after 4000 BC, but there are already some cities in your empire, but also in the other. Although you have an slight advance on the rest of the civilizations and plenty of wheat, it can become quit hard if the Romans become more powerful and begin to attack you by ship. Don't be suprised to find Chinese ships in front of your cities, because they also start with some extra progress (including Wall) sailing around the globe with an armada of little galleys along the coasts of Asia and Africa seems a piece of cake for them.

I didn't make the Greeks to big, otherwise they would have a big influence in the middle and late game and overwhelm the roman and german tribes, however they control Carthago and could colonize Africa and attack Egypt. The Old Middle East tribes are represented by the Arabs and Persians. Jerusalem is conquired by the Arabs when you start the game (about 3750 BC), but originally I made it Egyptian. I have played this map several times and you really can decide how long you separate contacts between the New and Old World, so be careful with your open border treaties, they are very powerful tool for your diplomacy. You can conquer or control the Americas without the knowledge of your eastern neighbours, vice versa.

All pagan religions are brought under one polytheistic religion called Hinduism (which I also consider to be any polytheistic religion when I play) and there is only one other religion at the start, which is Judaism, which is established in Jerusalem. BTW this is BTS.

I hope you enjoy my map and a merry christmas.
