Story:
Welcom to the New World!
After many days on sea, far away from the motherland, a ship sailing under british flag approches land. Captain Christopher Newport will moor at a wharf of a smal cape, where John Smith along with a handful of his companions will found a colony named Jamestown. The neighbourhood is teeming with indians who are by no means appeal to strange white people reaching for their land. And there is a lot of land: never cultivated, covered with thick, virgin forests. With time you will learn how to take advantage of it's riches, though in the beginning it will be very tough. Left all alone at natives' mercy you will struggle to survive in the wilderness. Many difficult days are still to come: famine, epidemics, lack of labour force, skirmishes with indians, constant threat from Spanish part... But don't be disheartened - soon John Rolfe will join you and he will acquaint you with the tricks of the tobacco cultivation. And for the earned gold you will strenghten. And if you will not provoke the natives, then maybe you will survive. And maybe, in the end, Rolfe will help you integrate with the indians, the Great Powhatan permitting Rolfe's marriage with his daughter - Pocahontas.
The land you arrived to is vast. Lot of time will pass before you will explore it to it's farthest corners, discover hidden riches. With time it will turn clear that you are not alone in aspirations to claim these lands' ownership. But once your dream of a New World begins to fulfill, then, who knows, maybe it will be the foundations of your colony, that the New Nation will arise from...

What distinguishes this map:
- precise geographical reproduction of the area
- scale - since it represents relatively small area - 92 000 km2 (each square is about 20 km2!) - all the main rivers are highly explorable; and there is a lot to explore!
- historical context e.g.: true natives' villages placement, names & size, leader's starting coordinates (English - Yames Towne, Dutch - New Netherlands), etc. [just a pinch of fantasy to make it more playable]
- adjusted diplomacy: hard times with savages, international diplomacy adjusted on historical basis
