This mod fixes an issue where many icons in the tech and civic trees incorrectly use the same plus-like symbol. In the current Civ7 1.01 (Patch 3), such modifier icons default to a generic plus-like icon. However, the game itself contains a wider variety of icons to distinguish different effects, such as settlement cap increases, codices, relics, specialist caps, attribute points, policy slots, tile yield bonuses, unit upgrades, and more.
I believe and hope that the official development team will address this soon, as the relevant images, data, and code are mostly implemented in the base game. However, some aspects appear unfinished, which might be why these icons are currently hidden. What I wrote is a stopgap implementation, with the data embedded in the js file, but it works.
