Inspired by Mr Smith, <Nexus> and Pie_at I made this new forest feature altered jungle files.
Tested in Rise of Mankind - AND2 mode
and so far no faults at all.
In RoM AND2 mode on my Giant Earth map I put savanna on 'plain' terrain type (dry) instead of 'grassland' (wet), mostly between jungles and deserts.
Savanna areas on Earth
One of a typical Savanna landscape
Without their own sound effects there is no Savanna for me, so I edited some ambient and birds sound files.
And finally the button of Savanna - of course - included.
INSTALLATION:
Just copy attached art folders into the same folders of your mod then amend all .xml files
The following .xmls I attached from <Nexus>' Chronicles of Mankind Mod
entirely.
In Assets\XML\Terrain
CIV4ImprovementInfos.xml
CIV4BonusInfos.xml
For the sake of completeness, I should also mention Pie's Ancient Europe V Mod. I took inspiration from his 'Savanna'.
Please accept my personal opinion: Pie_s' version supports better for Mediterranean climate, perfect for around Mediterranean Sea therefore I would call it 'Mediterranean', while my one is typical African 'Safari' or 'Acacia' type, called Savanna.
Thank you guys and enjoy!
