Sticky Game Settings 1.1.3

Want to play exclusively on deity? Or banish those pesky crises forever? Here you go! This mod makes most of the common game settings persistent:
  • Difficulty
  • Speed
  • Map Type
  • Map Size
  • Age Length
  • Disaster Intensity
  • Crises On/Off
Each time you make a change to one of these settings it will stay the same until changed again, across loads and restarts.

Not saved: Leaders, civs, age starts, momentos

This mod also adds a small amount of info to the in-game pause screen. It shows the current values of these settings for your game directly above the map seed, similarly to how the difficulty and speed are currently visible without mods. This helps with verification that everything loaded as you wished.

The mod disables itself for the current session when a game configuration save is loaded. The previous settings before loading the configuration will reset themselves the next time the main menu loads (after a game exits or the app restarts). There may be some quirks with how the mod interacts with configs, so it may be best to disable it temporarily when you want to use those often.

There are no visual changes to the settings screen, those images are included only for reference to the settings that will behave differently.

This helps a lot, as the saved game configurations also saved the game/map seeds and that was really annoying...
I have reloaded the save and tried the age transition again. Works now fine again with the latest version. Thanks.
I have just got a curious bug when this mod is enabled: After transitioning from exploration age to modern age suddenly one of the ai players has disappeared but all citys of this player are left on the map but without an ai player that owns them. I deactivated all other mods and repeated it serveral times and this happens only when this mod is actived. When I deactivate this mod then the ai player does not disappear in the age transition. I started the current game in antiquity age before the current patch 1.1.1 from Firaxis and continued it with the current version 1.1.1 through the antiquity age and exploration age. I don't know if it also can happen with a game that was started with the current patch version 1.1.1. I could provide my auto save game from just before the age transition if needed for bug fixing.

The latest release (v1.1.3) is designed to fix this issue. However, the actual age transition algorithm is not accessible directly to modders yet so it is difficult to verify 100%. If you are still having the same issue after updating I'd be happy to investigate further with the save file.
Nice mod! Would you consider using localization strings for crisis on/off? So it would be translated on all languages. I found them for you: LOC_ADVANCED_OPTIONS_CRISIS, LOC_UI_ENABLED, LOC_UI_DISABLED

Published an update with a fix. Thanks for the feedback!
Not working for me, it is enabled in game but i still have to manually adjust all settings when making new game. Made several to verify.

Would you try disabling all other mods and reloading to see if there may be a conflict? This can be done quickly with the excellent TCS Improved Mod Page mod, which I have already verified won't cause issues with mine. Otherwise it may be a platform issue, what are you running on? Windows, Linux, Mac?
Thank you sir!
