Sorry if this belongs elsewhere, but its not exactly a bug, and is not answered by google searches or the FAQ. I've actually made this account for the sole purpose of troubleshooting this problem (so far).

The Vox Populi 9-2 installer works perfectly, my cache is cleared and all files are placed in the correct folder. Yet for some reason, some of them do not appear in the mods list after booting up Civ V.

The specific ones that refuse to appear are:

(1) Community Balance patch
(3) CSD For CBP
(5) More Luxuries

I already have a copy of More Luxuries from the Steam workshop, and have CSD AND C4DF from there as well. I own all the Civ V DLC, except for some of the map packs. I've installed all dependent files as well.

Does anyone know whats wrong? I really want to use this mod, but I have no idea what is causing this issue.

Not sure about (1), but the reason for (3) and (5) not appearing is definitely having the Steam versions in your MODs folder. Delete the Steam versions (or move them to some backup folder, but they must not be in the MODs folder), unsubscribe them at Steam, then delete all (1) - (6) VP folders. Just to be sure, manually delete the cache and the contents of ModUserData folders (same level as the MODs folder). Then run the autoinstaller again.

Good luck!

Thanks for the quick reply.

You were right about (3) and (5). After following your instructions they've reappeared. Yet (1) is still missing.

Do you think another Civ mod blocks it? I doubt it needs the map packs to appear, but I may be wrong.

Hmmm, I think the safest would be to remove all the mods fro your MODs folder. Are you subscribed to many mods at Steam? If not, you can try unsubscribing from them (you can favorite them, so that you can resubscribe later). I am not a dev, but I think WHoward's DLL Various something-something or Smart AI might theoretically conflict with CP as it incorporates them already - not sure how mod IDs and dependencies are being handled by the game - I am probably wrong about these 2 ...

I have this kind of problem, and I can solve it by going to the mods folder and renaming the "(1) Community Patch folder" slightly - generally I add a second space after the (1).

I got it to work, somehow, by ridding myself of all other mods and clearing everything that could be cleared. I think Howards DLL pack overrode it or something of the like, as i've recently found out CBP incorporates the DLL.

SADLY, the mods still have issues, and has resisted all attempts to procure a fix. I'm sure theres other gamebreaking problems too, but I cant even get far enough to find them.

I can't promote any units or select outcomes to events. I have no idea whats causing this, as I had clean installed the damn thing with no other mods. Even went through the hassle of managing EUI and non EUI versions, both which fail.

My games up to date, I have all the DLC, and I followed every instruction and troubleshoot tip given so far, yet something wants to set me and this mod apart. Its doing a very good job.
