V .3 Added The Silk Road and some coast so that Iceland can be accessed by a galley.
V .4 Tried to fix some diplomacy irregularities, like Rome being at war with it's vassals.

Could you post some pictures of the scenario?

just 1 thing :P where you renamed babylon to seleucia, in reality seleucia is where shush spawns :D and wouldn't it make more sense for their capital to be antioch (seleucid empire before conquered by rome)

This is after it was conquered by Rome. I thought that Seluecia kept its name once it became part of The Empire. But it doesn't really matter anyway, this isn't meant to be entirely historical.

Not really sure of the point of having egypt, carthage, greece ?

These areas were pretty well integrated into the Roman empire, I mean the Greeks called themselves Roman for another 1000 years after the west fell.

I suppose you could have the Babylons representing the Sassinids. But I think it would be better just to have one Civ represent Persia (Pathanian/Sassanids). Or maybe have them as armenia ?

Also Im not really sure why you went for 125AD ? Presumably because it was the height of the Roman expansion under Trajan ?

But then you seem to want a dynamic game with the Roman Empire falling so surely a date like 400 AD would be better ?

Maybe Carthage could represent the Vandals ? Spain/France/Germany already represent the rest of the barbarians pretty well.

I think what you really need to do is script a massive plague for just before the arabs spawn so they have a chance of conquering a good portion of the empire.

I like the idea, but:
1. I can program about as well as I can speak Chinese (I can't).
2. Ideally; The Romans in the middle east will collapse, Babylon will take those cities, then Arabia will take them from Babylon!

The point of having the old civs as vassals was:
1. When the later civs spawn they will have rivals that can be relatively easily conquered; unlike Spain/France/Germany/England who are pretty much matched in power and can't really kill each other easily.
2. A personal fantasy of seeing Carthage finally give The Romans what they had coming.

I went for 125 A.D. because it is far enough back before the medieval civs spawn to actually do something. If it were a more appropriate date, like 400 A.D., the old civs would barely have time to conquer new lands.

This sounds amazing, just to let you know, and I'll give it a whirl right away. I always wanted something like this, a bit ahistorical but a lot of fun.

Is the timeline extended so this game is roughly as many turns as a normal 3000BC game, or is it as if the first part was just cut off (like it is in 600AD)?

The first part is just cut off. Like I said, I have absolutely no knowledge of C++ or python or any of that jazz. Yes, please play it then tell me what you think! Tell me a way you think it might be improved if you can.
