Blue Monkey
Archon Without Portfolio
We can mod using Macs.
Sure, we cant use the editor. But a lot of things like graphics creation actually involve more work in applications like Poser that we do have on the Mac, and sometimes in superior form to what's available on the PC.
See my LMHills terrain for an example. I made this using Graphics Converter on my ancient G3.
I know there are plenty of you out there who are far more talented and have access to better tools.
If the only thing holding you back from modding is access to the PC only tools like flicster, then the solution is at hand. Lets cooperate: If those of us who have access to both platforms will do the transfer work to get the files to and from a format other creative Mac types can use, we can add a lot to the CURRENT GOLDEN AGE of C3C, which I suspect we are largely responsible for anyway. Yes, this process is slower than creating on a PC, if for no other reason than some steps involve moving files from person to person, but thats a small price to pay for unleashing the creativity weve all got, combined with the advantages of using our Mac-based tools.
If you want to test the waters, but aren't sure where to start, this should be entirely doable on a Mac.
What do you say, people?
