Warning: rant follows.
First, if you are new to this forum, welcome. Please don't let this scare you from posting. If you are an old fart here, you should probably know better already.
Stuff that is really annoying in posts...
- A thread title that has little relation to what is in the thread. If you have one suggestion, name the thread for that, don't call it "My Idea". If you have many suggestions, consider separate threads for each major idea.
- Minor ideas which would be one-liners are best left unposted unless someone has already started a thread on that topic. Of course, feel free to make a one-liner suggestion into something meaty enough to justify a new thread.
- Spell check! Grammar check! Yes, I know this is an international forum. Many of those here have first languages other than English, and if you say so, people can be very forgiving of this. But if you don't, most people assume you will be a native speaker of English and judge your writing accordingly. In communicating ideas, the onus of making the information clear should be on the writer, especially if you want your opinions to be read.
