A most Byzantine question

Could someone direct me to resources (apart from the splendid Byzantium1200 site) on buildings and most importantly textures/materials used in the Empire?

I am working on my 1071st Byzantine set currently, and i am unsure if it looks as authentic as it should.

Btw i do not mean this is a set of 1071 (battle of Matzikert), just probably that by now i have produced around 1070 Byzantine sets already.

Don't quite understand what you mean, do you mean materials for construction and whatnot? It's not like it would differ greatly from other construction materials of the time, as far as I know. There weren't any significant changes from the construction styles of Central and Western Europe, although churches were obviously in a very Byzantine fashion.

I guess you are right. I was mostly interested in colors used in the walls and roofs
