advanced automatic settler option?

Hi!
Even if managing settlers is an important part of CIV2 strategy, it can be dull, specially before engineers to have to tell em every round what to do.
Is there an option or more likely an add on to trace routes in advance or to plan farming policies?

I won't rely on AI for automatic settler mode.

No. The automated settler option works the settler just as the computer would, with the exception that it will not found new cities. About the only thing the option is good for is attempting to irrigate a square without access to water, and there is little certainty that it will actually happen.
