It has been 84 years today, folks, since a contemptible little band of determined revolutionaries overthrew the Provisional government in Russia, establishing a Bolshevik regime. Today used to be a day of military parades through Krasnijii Ploshad', Red Square, as a nation celebrated its slavery but instead we are left with the memories of a very bad idea (buffeted by good intentions) whose natural end finally came. Good riddance.
