Any mod to give permanent alliance from start?

Is there a mod or mods that will:

a) Allow contact between human players from the very start of a multiplayer game

b) Allow a permanent alliance to be formed before communism/facism is researched

I want to set up a game where I'm teamed up with another human player in a permanent alliance from the start. The first problem is mostly a pain we we start off on different continents. The latter problem means the game is about half over or more when we can finally form an alliance.
 
Im pretty sure this can be arranged in the custom map or custom scenario screen. But i dont remember exactly how. You'll probably get an explenation soon here...
 
Yeah, when setting up a (custom) game, simply assign both players to the same team. That causes them to be allied from the start.

You can start with a permanent alliance by changing the number of team in the main screen ( ex: set 1 for you and your friend or an AI player ) .

For the starting location , it depend on script you use and can't be changed easily . Try Team-Battleground to start together .

To allow contact with each team at the start of the game , i don't know if it's possible , but i can try to add it in the scripts i customize if starting with a permanent alliance is not enough for you . just reply me to define exatly what you mean .

Ah, thanks. I'd noticed those numbers on the multiplayer setup screen but never knew what they meant. I've set up a team game and it seems to all be working fine. Thanks for the help.
