I think this is something that we should look at, in determining where/how we can expand, and/or approach the AI civs. Of the 2 civs we know of:

Year: 1575BC

Russia -

3 cities (including capital).
Moscow is building the Collosus.

What we know:

Russia's land sees to be atleast partially covered in Jungle. Looking at the jungle level in this game, it seems to indicate that there should be more jungle to the south/east of Russia. Should their cities be there, it means they are very crippled this game. Why? Because it's so far into the game, and they only have 3 cities. They are also building a wonder in their capital, meaning growth is severely limited. I don't know the exact years when the cities where build (that was never checked -- it should be checked, IMHO), but for what it's worth, I think the Russian Bear is hibernating...

Assessment:

We could probably attempt to "cut off" Russia at their jungle, since they don't seem to be bothering with building cities our way. (Perhaps there's another civ south(erly) of them that they're blocking? Also remember that jungle yeilds rubber and coal. It's possible that those sources are near Russia (to their south, perhaps?) that they are attempting to get, provided that the jungle continues there. (The AI highly values industrial resources)

Survivability:

If there's other civs around them, Russia may suffer the fate of the English in demogames past. (isolated, jungle infested...).

Babylon -

5 cities!!! (including the capital)

What we know:

Babylon, at some point in time, most likely had a barb problem, since their worker was in the capital for a couple of turns. (we have it now). That did little to slowdown the Babylonians. They have 5 total cities, meaning that they must have some extra food and production (I'd wager more on cattle than wheat). Babylon is poised to be VERY powerful this game. They will most certainly live up to being the Demogame Nemesis.

Assessment:

They are a force to be reckoned with. If we continue to build in the jungle like we are, we'll only get the first ring into the jungle. We'll have to watch out for the settler/spear/bowman pairs that come our way.

Survivability:

Potentially dangerous.

Yellow Civ:

Atleast 1 city (possibly 4 by now).

Their border expands in 3 turns, as it is their capital city. We should send a warrior to "meet" them.

Assessment: We have yet to see a yellow warrior, so they're most likely on an island. The only worry will be when we see barb gallies. That's a sign that civs have gallies, and MAY be colonizing.

Survivability:

Isolated? (Maybe) Not much is known yet. Wait for map making.

I agree, the Bab's are the greatest threat to us right now, espcially with there UU in this period.
