something stinks about this story. I proudly don my tin foil hat on this one.

1. the video is whack
2. "Al-Zaquari" reads a written statement, as if he could not speak from the heart.
3. Berg was held in Abu Ghairib? What did he see?
4. Timing is nice.... a little deterrence from the explosive Iraqi abuse photos...
5. And the laughable "Al_Zaquari" does the cutting claim.... WTH? They are all well masked.

They all read from written statements. I won't judge the merits of who really is responsible for this act.

Second, I don't think this was planted as a way to get heat off the abuse scandal. Clearly, that hasn't abated yet.

Third, what kind of video quality did you expect?

Good for Berg. Like Lynch, he's refusing to be a propaganda prop for the Administration.

Throw in Pat Tillman's "He's ****ing dead" little brother as well.

The cost of war is body bags, not cute CNN header animations.

Also, it was Khalid Mohammed who killed Danny Pearl.

The top Al Q. leaders really love to kill up close.

I suspect Ohmama Been Lieden killed many Russians up close as well.

Umm, his headless body was found.

Or, are you somehow asking for the link to the video, but don't want to say it?

I've seen the video. It is bad, they saw through Berg's vertabrae with a steak knife like it's butter. In fact, I don't understand how they did it so easily. I mean the cutting only takes a couple of seconds... maybe 35.... with a STEAK KNIFE! Is that even possible?

It looks like a poorly produced college student's gore film... complete with the fake looking head prop from a Fangoria catalog.

Right after the video came out, the father was on TV saying how much Nick Berg supported Bush and the Iraq War. His uncle also on TV said that Berg didn't care about politics at all. Very fishy indeed.

And then there is this whole Moussaoui connection!!!

Good for Berg? Uh...Berg was a supporter both of the Iraq war and President Bush. It's Berg's father who is taking political advantage of this.

How do the other videos (in your collection, maybe?) of other people's head being chopped off look in comparison.

And NO, that was not a Steak Knife. I sure don't eat with a foot long blade!!!

Did you look at the time stamp? I heard there is an 11 hour gap in there. I deleted the video and don't feel like re-downloading it to verify this.

No, the time stamp goes from 13:46:31 to 13:47:46, that is one minute, 15 seconds to saw through a vertabrae, Allthough they push him over, and then an 11:01 hour gap appears, then they appear to start cutting... the head also appears to still be attatched.

I have not seen any other behaeding videos, allthough I heard Daniel Pearl's had a sword come from the edge of the screen and make a clean cut.... but I also heard his throat was just slit.

Yes, the laptop, "borrowed" "unwittingly" by a guy to link to Moussaoui, what a coincidence!

Has anyone been able to find the "original website"? That's right.

He may have been dead before they even beheaded him. No struggle, and no blood spurt.

Sorry, only the stupid would dare go to Al-Queada's website. I don't feel like a Cuban vacation atm.... another reason I am wary. Who would dare try and verify this?

apparently the cia confirmed it's indeed him through voice matching

So Al-Z... man of mystery who is careful to speak only via audiotape...arrives for the beheading of a civilian contractor? That sure was a fast voice match as well.... it usually takes them a week or two.

Hmm. I wonder who that was screaming at the top of his lungs "Ahhhhhh" until they cut his vocal cords.

I think this incident has more than meets the eye - David Icke is not needed here.
And the Western WMD lies and Iraqi corruption makes me think nothing is surprising any more.
Not even a random civilian eliminated to save the neck of an under fire president and his cronies.

PS
I think berg may have been drugged in the AVI too.

I also think a mourning father can be allowed to blame his president.
Or has blind Bush-worship now went beyond all decency and rationality?

Obviously Berg's father is right. Had Bush and his Iraq administration found a way to stabilize the country and actually arrested some terrorists (not just let some museums be looted) there would have still been some murders like in any post-war country, but probably not as gruesome and public as this one.

The whole situation was caused by the US.

I don't want to say it's all bad what they did in Iraq. On the good side they removed an evil dictator from power (congratulations). But I don't see why this should be the reason to accept everything else without critizism.
