Is there a blank mod available? Meaning, when you use this mod/files there is no civ, no civic, no religion, no tech, no unit, no promotion, no civilopedia, nothing !

It would be very usefull for anyone that wants to create a mod from scratch. Currently, when we create a new mod, we make a copy of the XML files we want to use and start modifying them. However, you also have to do some cleanup in all the other files that could reference the content of the file you are currently changing. This is very tedious and time consuming.

With a blank mod, we could just concentrate on creating the content we want to have in our mod.

I think this should be very usefull for mods that won't use any of the existing content.

Well you could set up the file structure from the game but not put anything in the folders. Then its like making the game from scratch.

I believe Cheiftess was working on it - though I haven't heard any news. What we really need is each xml containing one example entry, and nothing else. If you're doing a big mod it's alot easier to start from scratch than to work off the defaults.

What I'd find really useful is templates for things suchs as tech icons and promotions - it sometimes is a real chore to separate icons from their backgrounds!
