Brave new world Loading problem

Not sure where i was suppose to ask this.

Well i got the new expansion and i started a clean save/new game and and everything seemed fine. It even loaded up faster than usual. I played for a bit saved and qiot the game, but the next time i wanted to play i clicked on load game and here is where my problem starts.

The game starts loading you see the little golden globe spinning with my civ leader in the background and it says loading below and the music is playing which makes it look like everything is ok but it doesnt actually load. Ive just spent 15 minutes waiting and nothing happens. It doesnt freeze or crash and the background music doesnt stop playing.

Ive tried multiple diffrent saves and both the DX11 and the regulair versions nothing seems to help. Starting a new game is fine but after saving it and trying to load it just doesnt load.

I hope someone knows what to do cause i was looking forward to playing with all the new mechanics.

Have you tried verifying the integrity of your game files on Steam?

it doesnt seem to depend on the save file itself, i can start as many games as i want and save them all. The problem is when i try to load.

if sure you want i cant try to look it up.

You could try searching in this forum to see if anyone has had the same problem...http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=409

Otherwise I'm not really sure what can be done if all your game files are in order.

I just want to look at a save to make sure your game is writing them our properly. Des saving to the Cloud make a difference?

well after experimenting it seem that the reason has something to do with the size of the map. the smaller the map the longer i cant play save and load before it just doesnt load.....well this sucks...this means i have to play the game in one go or i just lose it....

till someone finds a solution i recommend not playing on a map bigger than normal and with 8 civ's or less.

only then does it seem to work okay.

didn´t help.. played on a small map with less than 8 civs and still can´t load saved game

Having the same issue... Although I was able to load games fine up to a point....

Standard map, 8 civs, random seed on.

Win xp 32 bit, dx9 version
