BTS Codex Alera Mod (Jim Butchers furies series)

I was just wondering if anyone else has read this series. I think it just screams "MOD ME!" alas, I do not know the first thing about modding, nor do I really have the time. If someone would help me however, I think I would learn just so I can make a good mod for this series. Any help or advice? I find this site very frustrating to use, but it's also the only one I can find that has any quantity on it. So any advice would be great.
