[BTS] Mods in Vista + Intel integrated graphics

I had a quick search of the forum to see if my issue has come up before, and while I'm sure it has, I just couldn't find it.

I'm running Vista Ultimate SP2 on a dual core laptop with Intel integrated graphics and full administrator privileges. I have the latest patch of BTS installed, and have been playing it on XP SP2 compatibility mode with few problems for a long time now, but for some reason I can't seem to get the mods I'm downloading to work. The two mods I've been trying to use are the Planetfall v10 and the Ancient Mediterranean v0.82. From what I can tell reading the forum, these seem like stable and reliable mods. The files from each of these downloads have been placed in the correct folders in the BTS folder. Also, the mods that come with BTS seem to be working fine.

Is there any help you can give me? I hope I've given enough information about my circumstances.

Did you extract the folders, or did they come with an installer?

I extracted the Mediterranean one directly to the desktop and dropped the files into the mod folder in the BTS directory. The PlanetFall one had an executable .exe that put the files straight to that mod folder. I've done this twice now to be sure. I understand that you're covering all the bases, but the files not going into the right folder isn't the problem here.

Sorry to cover even more obvious bases, but are you on the ACTUAL administrater or just privlaged? Most installers only install go to the actual admin.

You say you have patched BTS to 3.19, are these mods compatible with that patch?
