I know that the Capitol can be moved by building a palace in a different city.

Can the Forbidden Palace be moved?

No, it cannot. Like all Great or Small Wonders, once build they cannot be moved or even re-built after they were destructed.

Another question:
Can every civ build the FP? Or is it considered a Wonder only 1 civ can build?

(i know im an idiot)

I wouldn't expect someone with > 600 posts to ask Newbie Questions. The Civilopedia clearly explains that the Forbidden Palace is a Small Wonder, meaning that all civilizations can build it (once).

You're supposed to put a  next to that china.

You can move it, but it's awfully costly. ;)

Small Wonders (which are available to all civs) can be rebuilt if they are destroyed, while Great Wonders are gone for good if destroyed. If you really (really) want to move it, you can abandon your FP city -- once it is gone, you can build a new FP in another city.

I wonder if you could sell the FP. It would be better than abandoning the city IMO.

Nope, you can't sell the FP. It's a small wonder, and you can't sell those.

It would probably be easier than abandoning, but unfortunately is not possible. Abandoning is the only way to move any small wonder.

Yup.... I've only had to move my FP once.... and that was because there was so much corruption in one area that it was killing me and the capital was already in the perfect spot. So I moved my FP.

Catt sums it all up. :)

I've never achually done it but you could always build the FP where you palace is, then move your palace around by rebuilding it where ever you want it..

Or, you could abandon the city, and build it again. (I think I read somewhere you could do that if the FP is destroyed.)

I thought you couldn't build the FP again once you built it. Even if it's destroyed.

Maybe you should elaborate, LKM.

Rushing the Palace may be more satifying than rushing a mere FP, but I suspect you get some advantage from the FP before rushing the Palace. Maybe you do not even have a GL when you build the FP.

alamo: I am currently building a thread in Strat forum on this... but am very busy will take two days at least. will post link then
