Can I load a mod directly, without going into the game, load a save, then have the game restart with the mod? I'm impatient and can't stand the extra 2 minutes of load/reload.

Yes you can. Open up your Beyond the Sword (or whatever version of civ your mod is for) folder, and right click on the Civ4BeyondSword.exe choose the create shortcut option. Name it whatever your mod is called, and move the shortcut to your desktop. Now right click on your new shortcut and select properties. In the target box add mod=\modname (where modname is the name of the mod's folder) to the end of the target. For instance, for WolfRevolution the target for the shortcut is:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod=\WolfRevolution
Once you set up the shortcut like this, double clicking on it will start the mod. Also a couple mods automatically set this up for you when they install.

Awsome! Thanks alot! The loading and re-loading was cutting into my available playing time, since I only get to play in half-hour stretches during breaks at work. This actually increases my sessions by 10%.
