Cannot load game

Hello

I am currently playing Alien Crossfire in the classic mode in the sngle player version. Last time I played it was last night.

I am trying to load the game again to continue where I left off, however, for a reason unknown to me, the game will not let me start. I get the message:

"You cannot load a password-protected multiplayer game as a single player game."

I don't understand what's going on, as I NEVER play a multiplayer game.

Can someone please help me to load this game?

Post your saved game and I'll have a quick look. Usually this message happens if:

1. you try to load a PBEM game and as single player
2. you try to load say a SMAX game inside SMAC (I think). You can load SMAC game inside SMAX fine, so this shouldn't be issue unless you ran wrong exe by accident.

I think I understand.

For some reason the computer leaded SMAC instead of SMAX. No wonder it wouldn't accept it.
