Cannot mod G&K

Trying to apply mods through steam and nothing is happening. Why did they have to change it if they are only going to make it worse. And they are mods that say work with G&K

Well I have plenty of mods that work in G&K.

Which mods are you trying? Run us through the exact process your using.

Lots of people have been saying that mods haven't been working (they were all using steam workshop). I think there must be a problem with the workshop, installing manually works fine

It works fine here, no problem.
You subscribed to the mods in the workshop and enabled them in the mods-section?

If you're talking about getting the mods to install after "subscribing" to them, it's been hit or miss for me. What generally works when they don't download & install automatically is unsubscribing, closing the Steam application completely, and then re-opening it & subscribing again.

I had this problem yesterday for the first time.

Started a game of Civ G&K, mods loaded fine.

Aborted game, started a new one, and the mods screen indicated I had no mods installed.

Nothing I could figure out to do, to get the mods "recognized".

Couple hours later, the mods were there again.

Figured it was something @ Steam that was wonky ...

tried that twice no success, will just have to do it manually. Thanks for all the responses.
