cannot play scenarios w/ .bat files! help!

I am running civ 2 MGE on windows 98 (and also on XP). I can play the game and scenarios, but when I play a game with .bat files (ie. red front, normandy...etc) I get an error message saying something like :" An error had been encountered in the civ.exe file, and the program has to close." Civ then shuts off.

Please let me know if anyone can help me with this problem!.

Do you have the problem on both Win98 and WinXP? If it's only on XP you'll probably need "choice.com", it's a file Win98 has, but WinXP doesn't. You can copy it to the scenario directory (or the windows/windows system directory).

If you also have the problem on Win98, make sure you're using the batch file correctly...
