Can't refuse trade offers in MP?

I played my first MP game last night, and the friend I was playing with offered me a trade deal. She messaged me to refuse it because she didn't do it right. But before I clicked on anything, I noticed that the item transfers had already taken place. I went ahead and refused the deal to see if that would reverse it, but it didn't. Now I'm a maritime civilization with 12 horses and no iron.

Is there a bug with trade deals in MP? Are the deals "done" as soon as someone proposes them? If that's the case, I guess we'll have to carefully work out any deals in chat BEFORE any proposals are made in the game!

P.S. I've had another trade deal problem in SP, and it's a problem in MP, too. I can't change the quantity of items in trade deals. If someone offers me 5 horses and I only want 2, too bad. And if I offer them one of my resources, I have to give them ALL of it. If I have incense (3) for example, and I want to offer them one of those incense for one of their ivory, I have to give them ALL 3 of my incense. I don't even have the option of changing quantity. (Not that the quantity changing option even works, lol.)

I have done many trade deals in MP and never seen this error. I have accepted, and refused plenty but never seen an 'auto accept' like you are talking about. I would say you either have a strange issue there that is unique to you, or that somehow you accepted the trade without knowing you did so.

The only kinds of weird bugs I've seen in diplomacy are these weird locks that happen. If I make a proposal to a human player I cannot make another one to anyone else before that player has responded to the proposal. This can seriously suck arse, especially if it's crucial to have all the deals go out the given turn. If you make a proposal to a player who has already ended his/her turn, you might just as well end your turn as you cannot make other proposals.

It makes me a bit uncomfortable to know another player could essentially lock you out of all diplomatic relations by not answering the proposal.
