I used the unoffical patch to upgrade civ2 original to MGE ages ago and it worked fine. But now I try upgrading it on my new hard drive (old one has been wiped) and it wont work!
I've tried upgrading from the v1.0 strait off the CD and from v2.42 but in both cases when it starts up I get a balck screen with an error box saying "Get Frame 3" or something like that. when I click OK it just comes up again so i have to repeated Ctr Alt Del to get out of it. Wierd huh? Any ideas anyone? I DLed the files i was supposed to, tried both the zips off civfanatics and the .ace files of Cedric's site but both give the same error?

Go to www.ligos.com and download the latest Indeo video drivers and codecs.
