changing the civs in diplomacy screen?

When I'm playing a game on a large map in regular civ3, i run into a problem if I have more than 8 civs. the diplomacy screen that usually displays alliances and treaties and the like will only show the 8, and there is no way to see information about the rest. Even after some civilizations are eliminated, they still arent replaced.

Is there any way to fix this? Or change the civs that are displayed from the very beginning? Thanks.

Shift+Right-Click on the civ leader's head, then select the civ to replace it.

Also, there should be a little "D" button on the bottom right side of your screen when you're playing the game.

i think he meant to be able to show relationships between civs such as right of passages, not just to contact a civ
