Hi there,

as I've been a great fan of the game "civilization I" during my childhood I wanted to play it again a few days ago.
But I realized that i didn't know the cheat to view the whole map.

I tried to use the "shift-56" shortcut which's quoted on this site but it didn't work.

Does anyone know how to make it work? I would be really glad if someone could help me!

Thanks,
Markus

Try SHIFT 1->9.
I think it depends on the version.

works JUST with version
474.01 / 475.01 (as far as i know)
(visible after civ.exe start at 'black&blue DOS screen')

Code:
+----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
¦ ¦
¦ CIVILIZATION (TM) - Version 474.05 ¦
¦ ¦

¦ ¦

¦ ¦
+----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

. Select graphics mode: .

                           1) VGA (256 color)
                           2) MCGA (256 color)
                           3) EGA (16 color)
                           4) Tandy 1000 (16 color)

I just checked the version of my Civ I and it's 1.2.0

so no chance ;-)

does anyone know, where to get (or even download) this stated version 474.01 or 475.01?

Thanks for your replies

?????
I thought (and was told) that the versions only differ in 1-9 or 5-6...

regular every DOS version is
474.**
then there were 5 different civ.exe's (nothing else did change as far as i know)
those exe's
are
474.01 ... 05

475 is just another 'distribution' (as far as i know) ... ?
