City is overproducing shields

Another bug I have found in my first game. I have a size 3 city here in the start of the middle ages that is producing 27 shields! I don't know if this game is even playable, we may need months worth of patches.

Did you just chop a forest?

Hoover over "27hammer" label to see what the mouse over gives you.
Remember, hammers are not wasted anymore and get transfered to your next build.

I chopped down another forest and it gave me 35 shields! I'm so used to 10. :crazyeye: I'm not sure if it always gives this amount, but this is what happened.

If forests grow back quickly, then this will be way powerful.

Actually, if you hover your mouse over the forest chop icon, I think it tells you how many hammers it will give you, as well as what city they will go to . :)
 
Okay let me try that out then. How much shields are forests worth?

Depends, haven't been able to work it out myself but I'm sure someone will post the formula at some point.;)

It's usually around thirty hammers or there abouts (have seen sixty + though)

If forests grow back quickly, then this will be way powerfull
Not quick enough to make it a tactic, also forests need a forest in a neighbouring tile for them to spawn/regrow.
