I am putting together an ancient civilization TCM for Civ II. I am searching for some good interface graphics to use. I have designed a CITY.gif but I don't have the capability to get Civ II to like the files. So, would anyone have any good interface graphics I could use? I am looking for matching graphics for all screens.

Alternatively, if I provided the graphics, would someone be willing to convert them to .gif that will be useable by the game?

This is what I designed, and something along these lines would be good.

Civ2 has its own 8-bit palette. For versions Fantastic Worlds and up, you can also save graphics as BMPs, but GIFs are compressed and take up less space. Civ2 GIFs must be version 87a and non-interlaced. I've attached one. You'll notice that the quality of the image is reduced now that the Civ2 palette has been loaded (I used error diffusion resampling over nearest colour matching in PSP). If you want to be able to do this yourself, then you'll need something better than MS Paint - if that's what you're using. Last time I checked, GIMP was far and away the most capable free raster graphics editor around.
