Civ Evolution

Anybody tried civ evolution yet. I like the idea of the open source AI, I think it can be a very good way to get a better computer opponent. Anyone else checked it out??

When ThunderFall posted info about it on the main page I checked it out. Conceptually I like the idea, and it looks like it may allow for more flexibility. However, as far as gameplay is concerned, it looked to me to be just a somewhat more primitive version of Civ II. I could be wrong, and indeed I haven't downloaded it yet - but I haven't given up on the idea. Whole aspects of Civ II - like diplomacy - are missing (or am I thinking of FreeCiv?).

I won't comment further until I've actually played it, but I'll probably wait til it deveopls further.
