Civ2 Multiplayer Gold startup issue on VirtualBox

Hello,

I've used VirtualBox to install a running copy of Windows XP. (x64, SP2).. no issues there. I've installed the game and the startup runs, but as soon as i go to load into a game (all the game settings are applied) the game crashes to desktop (VirtualBox is still running, XP is still running). Has anyone run into this or know what the issue might be?

If you're using a 'no cd' patch, then you may have to 'remove' the cd/iso.

If you haven't done so, you need a patch for 64 bit systems.

Sorry I can't be more help. These days, I use Test of Time through WINE in Linux, and before that, I used the 32 bit version of XP.
