Civedit and DOSBox

No matter where I place the Civedit folder, whenever I am able to get to the Civedit program, it says it can't find any saved files. I'm running under Windows 7, which is why I have DOSBox. I can play Civilization just fine. I used to have Civedit when I had XP. I didn't have to have DOSBox then. So, I am familiar with Civedit, I just can't remember how to get Civ 1 and Civedit to talk to each other. Boy, I used "I" a lot, huh. Thanks!
