Civs' UUs and UBs...

at least in the states, a supermarket is one store. a mall is a whole bunch of them. and i wouldn't say a shopping center is exactly the same thing as a mall, either, but that's probably because when i think of a shopping center, i think more of a strip mall, which is obviously just one kind.

anyway, even though they could've given rome and greece a building, everyone else around them (except egypt, but meh) has two units. and the "normal buildings based on europe" argument still makes sense for rome and the colosseum.

Actually, 'Malls' dont exist outside of the US because nowhere else calls them that. E.G. in the UK we have supermarkets and shopping centres, but nothing that would be called a mall. They are the same thing though, just different nomenclature.

In NZ we say mall, and we usually use British words for everything. What do you call it if it's not a mall? I'm wondering if we even use the word mall for the same thing now... to us, it's a bunch of shops all joined together inside some giant building.

Our local mall is even called 'Lynnmall', so I can't be the exception that proves the rule
