The Legend of Zelda series may have set the bar for Action Adventure games everywhere, but Pirates! still rules the computers as far as that genre goes. Which series do you think has ultimately done a better job?

Very unbalanced...
Pirates! is a great game, but it cannot compare to Zelda. Even if you include all pirates! like games.

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven is a far better action/adventure than any Zelda.
The Zelda games are good, yes, but I got bored playing Twighlight Princess.
Pirates! is a lot more fun too, plus it's open ended, although it doesn't rule the CP action/adventure genre.
Half-Life and The Witcher are action/adventures too, albeit they are also part of antoher genre (FPS and RPG respectively).
