this is a real stupid question, or maybe its the poster-im not sure yet;)

anyway, when i can play my civ3 (note previous post) sometimes some of my cities have this colorful cloud evaporating around them. at first i thought thats what civil disorder looks like, but i learned real fast that civ disorder is dark grey smoke. anyway... it doesnt seem to affect anything as far as i can tell, i looked to see what the civilopedia had to say but found nothing, nor in the handbook. i dont know if this is good or bad. hopefully good, but id like to know either way.

thanx in advance!!

Hi monkey, and welcome to CFC and the Mac Forum!

You're seeing fireworks over your city, which is a sign you're doing well - what it means is that particular city is celebrating "We Love The King Day," which means that there's no unhappy citizens. It does affect things, specificallyand most importantly, this works wonders in reducing corruption - very useful in cities far away from your capitol.
