can you load a king unit in a army?

also,... what is a continental rally point?
i dont get it.. i dont even know how to set it (goes in screen but clicking box doesnt do anything...

i need a way to automaticly GET ALL troops of a certain type to go to a location... can u do that with rally point of some sort?

also, im playing sengku right now,

i have a ROP with my "top rival" who i must reduce in size or he will win (he is at war with his weakened neighbor! i cant allow him to win)

his location is very far.

in 13 turns my 20 some transporting caravel with 150 some units including ALL my army are going to be in attack position (ROP will be ended before i attack... hope no rep hit.. i will end it on my turn and attack in the saem turn).
the location of attack is 3 city.

1. island with saltpeter (he has a lot of salpeter.. this is only to gain more for myself)
2. city with what APPEARS to be his only source of iron and near by city too will be attacked
3. all small villages will be taken.
4. all located close together so easy 1 2 3 order

problem.. its over 20 turns away. after i unload and declare war, reinforcement will be almost impossible...

sea battles are hard.. comp seems to have adv. in offence and defence..

takes 2 of mine to kill 1 of his most of the time.. and i mean so far it has been MOST unless i had artillery shelling the other ship and even then i lose at times.

i plan on getting others in the war but they might not...

all tech has been maxed (i was in lead.. now im just.. fair fight put it that way).

i outnumber him but his citys are large in population.. or most are.

my second option would be to charge for his captial NEAR the coast and end all of his citys that way. problem is distance... then i cant expand fast enough.
the 3rd most powerful will take most of the territory...

i plan simply to start a northern provience and reduce his size.

but im still new so i have no clue will it work.

my last fight was with the mori who i elimiated (no saltpeter they had).

it took my 50 troops + to capture only 3 cities with them for combat and garrison/defence...

rest had to be reinforceemnts....

this time enemy is much bigger and has salpeter galour... im hoping thats is his only soruce of iron... otherwise ill be in trouble!
any suggestions on this part?

I personally would have to see a screenshot or save in order to really help you with your war strategy. However, I'm pretty sure you can load your daimyo into an army, and continental rally points only place a tile to go to for any unit that's just been created. Rally points don't affect existing units.

i got my rally point to work but for some reason i must of did something like maybe it goes away for city that you change production? because some cities stoped sending troops to that point.. they wait for MY command AGAIN.. to tell them to.

and i dont want cities sending workers there but they do....

my current condition is all the victory in sengku on.

diplo, dom, and conquest.

turn limit increased to 600 currently at about 520

so far i have 34% of the worlds population but only 27% territory.
iijihio or whatever his name is sneaked attacked me using his yambushi to disband all my workers who were stacked up nice and neat cleaning polution.
he will pay.. this is the first its happened but having 10+ workers killed ON ONE SPOT (not to mention the yambushi went on to the second polution spot and taken 10 more) is humiliating... i forgot to check whythe yambushi was there so it was my fault...

him and urkaimi declared war on me (I HAVE OVER 70 UNITS AVAILAIBLE ON MY MAINLAND IN SHIPS!

my 100 some transported units are not in the new territory of hojo.

CULTURAL CONVERSION is a big issue.
i had one city flip... the tokagawas ships unloaded on it and razed it (should of stick with me). out of extra concern i razed then next nearest hojo city.
im at peace with hojo. takeda is still large. ninjas are a BIG problem in the northern settlements... they keep workers from working or take them.
so glad my mainland is a island!

hojo's only source of iron is mine. therefore he can not make aqurebruisers.
takeda can

i got a question though.. does the game give you an option to play on after you win? like after you hit histograph victory.. it says would you like to play on.. will it work the same?

i love to keep on raising my little pets! (AND DESTORY OR BADLY BADLY BEAT DOWN MR. IJIJHO OR WHATEVER HIS DUM NAME IS!)

i also was the one who built the war council...and i held off every election!

my histograph score is 1 pt. ahead of hojo. :D
takeda is 3rd.

If I were you, I would have forgotten about the Hojo and Takeda and instead just focused on conquering the Urakami and maybe the Chokosabe (? - the brown guys on the small island). Hojo is way too far away for any good reinforcements, and the corruption's probably horrendous. I suppose now that you have all technology, you should set taxes to 100% (or to 90% with luxuries at 10% if you really need it) and just buy as many culture-producing and corruption-reducing improvements in your "northern colony" - and of course, I'm assuming you've switched to feudalism by now.

If you want to, you can keep doing what you're doing - but it might be a better idea to have a large, but contiguous empire. Hold off the Hojo as long as possible in your northern province (or better yet, take down their daimyo - even though there'll be lots of land available, with only 80 turns left to go, Takeda probably won't be able to take the lead by settling it as long as you focus on your neighbors, or you settle it too) but don't send any more reinforcements. If all goes well, the Hojo will be distracted by your province while you take a larger lead and eventually win by domination (or histograph).

Hope this helps. :)

well.. the story is i managed to get a tech lead by early on barb hunting with my king unit.
with it i managed to keep a 1-2 tech lead as far as i know.
all tech was maxed out except for oda. oda is too small and has 1 more tech.
all conquest began AFTER i maxed out tech.. bad timing because of fair play but i did get a head start in money.
i was not able to support an EXTRA 100+ troops for attack or garison while maintaining tech lead so i didnt fight wars. wars was declared but VERY LUCKLY it was after the mainland of japan was already occupied slaughtering each other. i got 1-2 ships (not to mention the distance AI had to travel) to attack my cities.

i was planning to go through Urakami and the others until i HIT into takeda and hojo. problem was when i had a 23% territory and 27% population, HOJO was already at 30% population and had declared war on takeda who was at that time WEAKENED.

i said screw my invasion of iijcho (brown island dude) and eventrually urakami and on and went with ROP everyone and headed for hojo.
thats why war with hojo and the north is important.
still
takeda has the 2nd most territory.. i think 2% lower than mine
me and takeda have over 25% territory.
so if he takes hojo, i have trouble again.
im at war with both iijcho and urakami...
so i dont need anymore wars with takeda or hojo again (peace with hojo and takeda is still at war with hojo)

im 1% away from population of 35%

do i only need that or both territory and population?

In order to win by domination, you have to have both, yes. If you don't think you can manage that, have you considered a War Council win? Or is your reputation down the drain?
If that's the case, then I would just try to go for domination as best you can. You'll probably win by histograph if you do that. Or, maybe you can send large armies to each of your opponents capitals (starting with Hojo and Takeda), take out their daimyos as quickly as possible, and then immediate go to the next capital to take out the next daimyo. I think you can win by elimination - actually, you might win by domination before you can win by elimination.

i won by domination.

35% territory
40% population

i killed urakami and took all but 1 of his cities other than capital.

then i settled over on the captial and game was over.

about reputation.. how the heck are you SUPPOSE to keep it good?
they all get annoyed with me and seems to stay that way.
then they get furious after they declared war on me... (and as a island they we never faught much)

my repulation against ottomo was bad but thats it.
i canceled ROP with hojo before i attacked him.
i trade but eventually that didnt change the attitude of others towards me.
they all go to annoy.. even when i trade them stuff for free.

i get sick of seeing such...

i built the war council and never held an election..
they dont like me.. dont seem to ever do.
