Crash on shutdown?

Just got Civ IV yesterday. Everything looks to be running well, however the game crashes whenever I quit. Anyone have any thoughts? FYI, I did install the new patch.

Any other symptoms - eg slow gameplay -mins not seconds to save game - other kinds of CTDs ?

Also could you post the dxdiag dump

(start button, click, choose run, type dxdiag, let it chunter away for a minute, then click "save all information" and post the file here using the 'advance' button below)

Last night the problem mysteriously went away...here's hoping it doesnt come back!
