D3DX9-26.DLL was not found

I have installed, re-installed 2 times.

I get this error when starting the program:

This application has failed to start because D3DX9-26.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Installed patch 1.09, same problem.

Your help is appreciated.

I had the same thing coming to me, so i downloaded the dll via p2p and tossed it in to windows\system32.

Atm i cannot start the game though because of some unknown graphical issue:
Could not initialize DirectX9, same thing happens with 1.0 and 1.09. I downloaded the october update of DirectX and installed which had no effect. My graphics card is an MSI Gforce MX 4000 128 MB which would be the bottleneck of my system.
