DirectX Cabinet File problem

Hello.

I've tried to install both the DirectX 9.0 which came with the game and the one on the Microsoft site, but keep getting the 'cabinet file cannot be trusted' error message. I've tried many of the suggested fixes for this (both on this site and elsewhere), but none have worked so far.

What's the most reliable way of getting DirectX to install? Thanks for your time.

Okay, let's see if someone who knows the answer to this is around now.

I'm getting the 'initialize renderer' error, but I'm figuring the first step would be to actually get DirectX 9.0 installed (then I can try some of the other solutions to get past the renderer problem)

Does anyone have any tips to fixing the 'cabinet file cannot be trusted' error when trying to install DirectX?
