Discussion Tournament

Just something I came up with in my brain a few secs ago. Why don't we create a tournament where we give two people a topic that they have differant views on. There would be two refs who will watch and decide who wins the discussion. The winner will then go on to the next round.

This is just meant for alittle fun. I don't know about you, but discussing and arguements are always slightly funny.

Also.... You can sign up to be a ref also.

I am thinking 4 refs.... Two at each discussion.... Then the refs can also partcipate in th tournament.

Ok... Here are the basic rules:

1. Topics are chosen by the judge's. These topics can be either a current topics or along passed discussion. Topics MUST be demogame related. No judge that is also partcipating in the tournament will pick his own topic.

2. Any foul play will result an immediant kicking from the tournament. Depending upon the sitution the offender might not be allowed to partcipate in any future tournaments.

3. At the end of each discussion the judge's award each partcipant a number from 0-10 depending upon there performance. These points add up till the final performance in the tournament. Where the player with the highest number of points will win.

Still working on them, but those might give you the layout right now. Let's use this thread to discuss how the tournament should run etc. These are a few things that need attention:

1. Should the discussion's happen in a chat room or in a thread?

2. How many judge's should there be?

I think a 4th one is needed..... Because CivGeneral and I will be facing eachother and we need atleast 2 people to judge.

Also..... I know I'm going to get points taken off from grammer .

I might move this to the RPG forum, for lack of a better place for it...since it really has nothing to do with the actual demogame, it probably shouldn't be in the citizens forum...
