Subject: CITI_bank |E-mail| Verification - hbdragon88@yahoo.com

you_use in the Atm_Machine. This_is done for your protection -h- becaurse some of our
memebrs _no_longer_ have access to their E_MAIL addersses and we must verify it.

Please, at least learn to spell correctly and stop using so many underscores...thank you, try again.

what I do I visit their web page and leave nasty data as my adrdess, first and last name. My credit card is usually 1234567800001234 :)

Oh dear, they need to come up with more original Spam, something that is at least a slight bit plausible . . . just a little bit!!!

I got something like this a while ago IIRC... delete is the button I used for those.

You might want to forward that to Citibank. With their rep on the line, they might actually do something about it. :ack:

The first Citibank email I received, verification was spelled wrong in the subject line. I don't have a Citibank account.

The sad thing is people do fall for this. If you click on the link, it will take you to the Citibank page, but the popup window for the verification isn't Citibank. I checked out the properties of the popup window and it was a Russian website.

Most of that social engineering/phishing crap is coming from various locations in Eastern Europe...those guys gotta learn how to spell.

I got something similar.
