I just noticed in Dimy's Egyptian topic in the Stories & Tales forum that he Leonardo Da Vinci born in an Egyptian city. It's completely random who's born where I assume?

Is there a list anywhere of all the Great Engineers, Prophets, Artists etc.?

Surely there must be a list of them all somewhere in the game files? Anyone want to look for it? I would but my Civ IV won't arrive til tomorrow at the earliest... and it looks like there's gonna be a postal strike too

There is an XML file located at --
%Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Assets\XML\Text\CIV4GameTextInfos_GreatPeople.xml
-- that contains all their names. I dont currently have the time to parse out the names to post on here, but that is where they are located.

Yeah, she appears, I believe, as "Jeannie d'Arc" or something like that. And its funny, because apparently, according to this game, she had a full length beard in her day (her unit is the same unit in appearance as the other great prophets). I've heard stories about French women not shaving, but that is ridiculous.

Xi Ling Shi
Marie Curie
Coco Chanel
Sojourner Truth
Merit Ptah (never heard of her though)

Interstingly, in the XML under French and Spanish the women are specified as Female, whereas under the others they are male

It would be nice to have a mod for the female Great people, as male Joan of Arc doesn't really make much sense.
