Edge of Map Problems

I have been experiencing two problems lately while playing several of the Conquests scenarios:

(1) At times, a barbarian camp or an opponent's city will appear at the very edge of the map with only about half of it showing. Is this a screen resolution problem?

(2) While playing the Middle Ages scenario, I built a city in west Africa, but part of it was behind the world map in the lower left corner of the screen, and I couldn't find a way to see the terrain behind the world map or any units that might be located in the area covered by the map. Any suggestions?

Well, the problems aren't really problems, but just how the scenarios were designed.

(1) If you play on a flat map (doesn't wrap horizontally), you have to have edges eventually, so when you have a settlement on the edge it will only show you half of it. It does not get any tiles past the edge.

(2) Yes, you actually can see whats behind the minimap and status thingy on the bottom corners, you press the DELETE or DEL key, should be right above the arrow keys on the keyboard. This will hide everything so that you can have a nice clean view of the terrain. To bring it all back, just press the key again. Its also useful when making screenshots.
