So I've been working on a custom map, tweaking it and messing around making sure the AI will have plenty of resources in their areas where they spawn, and I have a version that i've labeled version 2, backup (up until now a second copy of the current version) and because of the issue im having, version 3.
i have been using Version 2 for around thirty turns, because i am bad at looking at the worldbuilder and interpreting how things will look. But I just made a bunch of edits, and saved over it as version 2. When i loaded up a fresh game, none of the changes i made were there. i exited the game and made sure i had the correct mod loaded, version 2 and confirmed the changes were there in the world builder.
i decided to save another copy, version 3, and test that. But when i disabled version 2 and enabled version 3, version 2 still shows up in my maps list and version 3 is nowhere to be found. Has this happened to anyone before? I am hesitant to delete version 2 since this whole thing has been pretty janky so far. Thanks for your time
edit: i found where the world builder save files are and made a copy of them, and deleted backup and version 2 from the game's files. Even still, version 2 still shows up in my map list and version 3 is nowhere to be found
edit 2: i uninstalled the game and deleted the Civ6 folder in My Documents, and reinstalled. worked just fine after that
