Editing Terrain Graphics?

I've been planning out a mod for CIV, but part of it involves tweaking the terrain textures to get a somewhat different feel. Maybe it's so simple that I'm a moron for not figuring it out on my own, but I can't find any info on how to edit terrain graphics. Everything I've seen here has been for unit or resource textures.

Help? Anyone? :cringe:

P.S. I realized that I should clarify: I have the software and experience to modify image files, but I need to know how to find the appropriate files in CIV. Basically, I've done graphics modding before but I don't know what parts of the process are special for CIV. ;)

The textures are in Assets\Art\Terrain\
But i am not sure if they were updated with BTS or WL - if thew were not you will need to unpack the AssetsX.fpk files to get the files (There is a Pakbuild tool in the tools section).

Or you could use some of the already exisiting terrain mods as base.

Refar to the rescue as usual :D:D
I'd suggest using the improved graphics terrain, the colonization terrain, or my extra terrain (in sig) as bases. Also, if you haven't downloaded Blue Marble, you could use that terrain as well. I'm pretty sure that's just about the only terrains you could use as a base other than the default terrain.
